Training Programme > Group Project Competition
To ensure participants have a thorough understanding of Hong Kong and to help them prepare for introducing Hong Kong to tourists, participants are required to submit a group project after the training programme.
Participants have to work in groups, on one of the selected topics to design and develop creative ideas to promote Hong Kong with collective effort. Based on creativity, comprehensiveness and feasibility, three awards will be given to outstanding groups.
Objectives:
To help participants consolidate what they have learned during the training programme through planning and proposing promotional activities under the umbrella of the HKYAS. |
To provide an opportunity for participants to design and develop creative ideas to promote Hong Kong through group effort. |
Guidelines:
| |
Local and overseas YAs will be grouped separately to conduct the project. |
The Project should cover either one of the following topics:
| 1. |
Choose a theme to promote the attractiveness of Hong Kong, e.g. festivals, handicrafts, food etc.
| 2.
Plan an activity that promotes "hospitality culture" either in a local or overseas community.
| 3. |
Design a 5-day itinerary for a family to show Hong Kong is a place for fun.
The project should be feasible and is required to carry out as promotional activity during the term of service. |
The project can be presented in either Chinese or English, and in any format, eg written, video or a project kit. The project proposal and a summary page should be presented in written form (hardcopy) and stored on CD-Rom (presentation version in a PowerPoint file) for submission to the Secretariat. |
