Training Programme > Hong Kong Log Book Competition

In order to consolidate their learning throughout the training, participants are required to record all visits, talks, workshops, heritage tours attended into a log book individually.

This competition is not merely routine recording exercise, but a critical analysis of experience. According to the thoroughness of information and coverage of photos on the events, depth of insights, creativity and feasibility, three awards will be given to participants who could give a good overview of the things that have been learned and highlight the insights derived.

Objectives:

To facilitate participants compiling relevant information and consolidating their learning throughout the training.

To provide participants with a self-made "resource kit", hence facilitating them to promote Hong Kong in their service.

Guidelines:

This is an individual assignment. Participants should record all visits, talks, workshops, heritage tours attended into the log book.

This competition is not merely a routine recording exercise, but requires critical analysis of experience. Participants should give an overview of the things that have been learned and highlight the insights derived. Relevant resource materials such as photos, brochures, clippings could also be attached.

There is no specific limitation on the size and format of the log book. The focus is on originality and creativity.
The Hong Kong log book should be in either English or Chinese.
The log book should be submitted to the Secretariat on or before: 29 July 2008
Log books with creative design and rich contents were displayed at the Appointment and Awards Ceremony on 12 August 2008. Useful ideas and information in the log books may be extracted and posted on the HKYAS website.
